🄩 Meatball Freezer Meal Prep

Do you check ingredient labels when grocery shopping? šŸ›’

I believe that the quality of ingredients directly impacts the effectiveness of a meal, even when cooking at home.

When my kids were in elementary school, I went through a period of extreme exhaustion. I tried various supplements, vitamins, and so-called ā€œhealthy foods,ā€ but nothing seemed to help me recover.

Then, I had the opportunity to live with my in-laws, where I naturally began eating fresh vegetables they grew and meals made with clean, high-quality ingredients. To my surprise, my health improved significantly within just a month.

I couldn’t believe that my body, which hadn’t responded to anything else, regained energy and strength in such a short time. This experience was life-changing and shifted my perspective.

Since then, I’ve committed to preparing home-cooked meals using nutrient-dense, clean ingredients. šŸ„—

For me, food became a vital tool to navigate the challenges of immigrant life. No matter how difficult things became, I found the strength to persevere when I was nourished by wholesome meals.

Today, we are surrounded by countless food options and an overwhelming array of enticing dishes. Yet, paradoxically, it’s harder than ever to find truly healthy ingredients you can trust.

This is why I’ve been working on freezer meal prep recipes. I hope they can help alleviate some of these concerns by providing quick, nutritious options.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions—they always inspire me and help me improve. 🌿

1. Prepare the Meat

Combine ground beef and ground pork in a 1:1 ratio. Use paper towels to pat the meats dry, removing as much excess blood as possible.

2. Season the Mixture

Add a generous amount of chopped green onion, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

3. **Shape the Meatballs**: Form the mixture into meatballs.

4. **Add Cheese**: Place a small piece of mozzarella, brie, or any cheese you have on hand in the center of each meatball to enhance the flavor.

5. **Bake**: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the meatballs for 20–25 minutes.

6. **Simmer in Sauce**: Transfer the baked meatballs to a pot, pour tomato sauce over them, and simmer gently over low heat. Add plenty of Parmigiano cheese at the end to enrich the flavor.

7. **Freeze for Later**: Once the meatballs have cooled completely, portion them into containers and freeze for an easy, nutritious meal anytime.

šŸ“Œ **Cooking Tips**

- **Don’t Skip the Parmigiano**: This cheese is a key ingredient that elevates the flavor of the dish.

- **Ensure Tenderness**: Removing excess blood from the meat leads to tender, flavorful, and odor-free meatballs.

- **Choose Quality Ingredients**: Using grass-fed meat and clean ingredients helps you prepare a healthier meal.
