šŸšĀ Bibimbap Freezer Meal Prep

Bibimbap, a beloved Korean dish, is a vibrant and nutritious rice bowl that features a variety of seasoned vegetables, marinated beef, and a fried egg, all topped with a flavorful gochujang (Korean chili paste) sauce. This harmonious mix of colors and flavors makes bibimbap not only delicious but also visually appealing.

Did you know you can freeze seasoned vegetables?Ā Many people worry that freezing vegetables will ruin their texture, but if you prepare them the right way, they’ll stay perfectly intact.

With these prepped ingredients, simply thaw them and top with a fried egg for an easy bibimbap meal. šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³ Although the video showcases a food processor, it can sometimes crush the vegetables’ texture. After experimenting, I found that using a slicer yields much better results, preserving the texture and making it especially helpful when prepping large quantities.

Prepare bibimbap packed with flavor and nutrition, freeze it, and enjoy a quick, easy meal anytime. Bibimbap is not just a dish; it’s a delightful experience that brings together diverse ingredients into one satisfying bowl!šŸ‘‰ Recommended slicer: Vegetable Slicer Link

šŸ›’ Ingredients

• Carrots

• Zucchini

• Mushrooms

• Ground beef (grass-fed preferred)

• Spinach

• Bulgogi marinade: 6 soy sauce, 3 sugar, 3 corn syrup, 1 garlic, ā…“ pepper, 1 sesame oil

• Spicy sauce: 3 gochujang, 1 vinegar, 1 sugar, 1 minced garlic, sesame seeds

a green food processor, there are cucumbers, potatoes, and carrots.

šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³Ā  Instructions

1. Julienne the carrots, then sautƩ in a pan with oil, salt, and pepper. Let them cool.

(šŸ“ A vegetable slicer makes this step even easier!)

2. Slice the zucchini diagonally, sautƩ with oil, salt, and pepper, and let it cool.

(šŸ“ Cook the zucchini for just 3-5 minutes to keep it crisp.)

3. Blanch the spinach in boiling water, rinse in cold water, and squeeze out the excess water. Mix with 1 tsp fish sauce, salt, garlic, and sesame oil.

4. Slice the mushrooms thinly and sautƩ with oil, salt, and pepper.

5. Cook the ground beef over low heat, breaking it apart gently as it cooks. Avoid using high heat, as this can cause the beef to clump together.

šŸ‘‰ Mix in the bulgogi marinade (soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, sesame oil) and stir until evenly seasoned.

6. Prepare the spicy sauce by mixing gochujang, vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, and sesame seeds.

Use the golden ratio: 2:2:2:1 (2 gochujang: 2 vinegar: 2 sugar: 1 minced garlic).

7. Once all ingredients have cooled, portion them into freezer-safe containers.

Layer the carrots, zucchini, spinach, mushrooms, ground beef, and spicy sauce in each container.

8. When ready to eat, thaw the ingredients and serve over warm rice.

šŸ‘‰ Add sesame oil, a fried egg, and kimchi if desired.

šŸ“ŒCooking Tips

• Be sure all ingredients are completely cooled before placing them in containers to prevent excess moisture and maintain freshness.

• When cooking ground beef, start with low heat and break it apart as it cooks. Once the pan gets hotter, it will become harder to separate the clumps.

Enjoy your bibimbap freezer meal prep for quick, healthy, and delicious meals anytime! 😊
